With Summer fast approaching thoughts are turning to holidays and the wondrous outdoors. Where better to spend time than the beautiful coastal paths and beaches on Anglesey?
The Anglesey Coastal Path is a 200 kilometre (125 mile) footpath around the island. It falls within a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which covers 95% of the coast and passes through farmland, coastal heath, dunes and cliffs. The Path passes over 100 rock types for those geologists among you and archaeologists can visit one of the largest collections of ancient sites in Britain. Nature lovers can enjoy the huge variety of rare birds and may well spot dolphins, seals or even a minky whale!
Anglesey also has an incredible 27 excellent sandy beaches and rocky coves, including six Blue Flag beaches. There is a beach to suit all tastes!
